Big Sister

Director Zhao paused. “Really?”

Ruo Bi nodded hard. “Aunt Zhao, actually…”

Director Zhao interrupted her with a smile, and winked at her. “You two are so close, so why are you still calling me aunt? It’s time to change how you address me!”

Ruo Bi was deceived. Wasn’t this them being… discovered?

She looked at Hua Jingzhi. He was very innocent, he was just beaten and didn’t say anything.

But his parents were really not ordinary people. One focused on investigations and the other focused on psychology. The combination of these two swords was better than a lie detector!

Ruo Bi had a long face. It is what it is if they were to be exposed. At worst she would be scolded…

She opened her mouth, and the word “mom” was already formed, and she was about to call out

Suddenly she felt Aunt Zhao touching her arm. Her eyebrows were raised in excitement. “Don’t call me aunt, it’s called big sister.”

Hua Jingzhi: “…”

Ruo Bi: “…”

Director Zhao: “Aunt is for old people. It’s better to call me sister, don’t you think so, Lao Hua?”

Professor Hua closed his eyes. He saw death. With a wife like this, what else could he do?. “… Yes, it’s as you say.”

Hua Jingzhi: “…”

Ruo Bi: “…”

Director Zhao patted her chest, and said proudly like a big brother trying to cover for a younger brother. “Don’t worry, I’m here for you. You can fall in love with whoever you want.  Let me handle Hua Jingzhi!”

Hua Jingzhi: “…”

Ruo Bi: “…”

Professor Hua and Director Zhao drove Ruo Bi back.

Once they saw that Ruo Bi entered the house safely, turned on the lights, stood at the window and waved goodbye to them, they sat in the car with peace of mind.

Director Zhao sighed. “Oh, what a good girl. She is beautiful and well-educated. We watched her grow up. It would be great if she could become our daughter-in-law! It’s a pity, I don’t know which brat will come out on top.”

Professor Hua was driving the car while humming. He was obviously in a good mood.

Director Zhao was dissatisfied, and frowned. “But what should we do about Hua JIngzhi being so stubborn? He can’t stay unmarried forever, right?”

Professor Hua pushed the heavy glasses on the bridge of his nose, and said indifferently, “You have been doing ideological work for people all your life, but you haven’t noticed… There is something not right with both of them.”

“What’s wrong?”

“Everything is wrong, there is a feeling all over my body…”

“How does it feel? Tell me, get to the point!”

“It’s just…” Professor Hua frowned. “The feeling of being caught in bed.”

Director Zhao pondered for a while, then took a deep breath. “Huh—you mean… our Hua Jingzhi finally took Ruo Bi down?”

Professor Hua shook his head. “It’s just my guess. Just now I looked around the situation at his place. She was probably living there recently. The slippers, towels, and water glasses at home were all for couples. I’m just making a reasonable guess based on the existing facts, but there is no conclusive evidence yet.”

Director Zhao’s eyes widened. “No, we have to go to Hua Jingzhi’s place and have a look again. You should check carefully to see if there is any evidence. What if Hua Jingzhi bought it wishfully?”

“Then I have to go to the bathroom.”

“Bathroom? What can you see?”

“The trash can.” Professor Hua’s professional opinion came out. “To see if there is any condom packaging.”

The end results disappointed the old couple.

Professor Hua rummaged through the trash can in Hua Jingzhi’s bathroom, but he didn’t find any condoms.

Hua Jingzhi was pushed aside by his parents, and stood there watching them squat on the floor of the bathroom to check the trash can. He pinched his forehead helplessly. “Dad… I am not a crime scene. Why are you wearing shoe covers and a hat?”

“Oh, professional habits, professional habits…”

Professor Hua stood up. He was quite disappointed, and said to his wife, “It seems like the friendship between them is still very strong…”

Director Zhao couldn’t hide her disappointment, and comforted, “That’s fine, that’s fine.”
