Reprimand

As soon as Fang Shiya finished speaking, the whole family focused their attention on Liang Shiyun. Chu Xia also turned to look at her.

Liang Shiyun frowned slightly. She swallowed the food in her mouth, and just replied, “It was okay, I think we are more suitable to be friends.” Suddenly, she heard the sound of chopsticks being slapped on the table.

“Friends?” Fang Yuan put down the chopsticks, “Tell me what’s wrong with Dr. Cen and what about him doesn’t suit you? Why do you want to be just friends?”

“Why haven’t you thought about marriage? How old are you now? When you were young, you grew up in this area and all the other families here got married and had children. After she said this, Fang Yuan stopped and realized that she had made a slip of the tongue.

There was silence at the table. Her stepfather quickly spoke up to salvage the situation.

“Shiyun, people need emotional connections in their lives. Relationships that benefit both people are fine, but you can’t just never have a relationship. When we are gone, and if your sister is married, where will you find an emotional connection?”

Liang Shiyun nodded, but she still cared about Fang Yuan’s sentence “You don’t know that because of you, I have no place to show my face in the courtyard!”.

To be honest, she could sense it too.

In this community, the neighbors asked her about her love life several times, and Fang Yuan always had an expression of embarrassment.

She drove a few circles around the apartment before returning. Just as she turned on the light in the living room, her cell phone received a notification. It was from Chu Xia. He had returned to the apartment and he had the things that Cheng Qiao had asked him to bring back for Liang Shiyun.

Liang Shiyun looked at the text message.

She almost forgot that Chu Xia was at Fang Yuan’s place today.

The things that Chu Xia had were specialty products. Cheng Qiao had prepared it for Liang Shiyun earlier. It’s just that after receiving the news that Fang Yuan was hospitalized, she left in a hurry and forgot to take it.

Liang Shiyun thought for a while, and called Chu Xia. “Hello? Are you home now? If it’s fine, I’ll get it now.”

Chu Xia had just arrived at home not too long ago and was packing the things. By the time Liang Shiyun came by, Chu Xia had already packed everything into bags and put them on the table.

She was in a trance when suddenly the doorbell rang. Chu Xia got up and opened the door, and came in with a bag that smelled like meat.

Chu Xia took two cans of beer from the refrigerator and handed them to Liang Shiyun. She took them and sat down at the coffee table.
