Chu Xia felt this after bumping into Liang Yi.

Liang Yi was Liang Shiyun’s half-brother. This matter started when he returned to the country during summer vacation. That day, Chu Xia went to Liang Shiyun’s apartment to get some things, and sent a message to Liang Shiyun in advance, but Liang Shiyun did not reply to him.

He thought she was busy with work again, so he went upstairs. As soon as he entered the room, he bumped into Liang Yi who had just returned from summer vacation.

Chu Xia had seen Liang Yi in Liang Shiyun’s Moments. Liang Yi and Liang Shiyun looked somewhat similar, and Chu Xia immediately realized who he was.

Her brother is back? She never mentioned it to me.

Chu Xia couldn’t help frowning. While lost in thought, he heard Liang Yi say, “Who are you? How did you get in?”

“Yes.” Chu Xia nodded, and briefly explained their reunion, “Did Shiyun mention me to you?”

Liang Yi punched Chu Xia in the face. Chu Xia was unprepared. He staggered back a few steps. When he held onto the door frame, Liang Yi grabbed his collar with one hand and punched him again.

“How do you have the nerve to come after my sister?”

“Do you know how much you hurt my sister when you said to break up?”

“Why? Did you think my sister was just a good pastime? Did you come back to pressure her into dating you after seeing all the flowers in the world and thinking that my sister is better?”

Liang Yi grabbed his collar and was furious as if he had a long time grudge.

But what he asked made sense. Chu Xia was at a loss for words for a while. But then Liang Shiyun came in and sternly reprimanded Liang Yi

The siblings argued in the living room, and finally Liang Yi left angrily.

Liang Shiyun didn’t leave Chu XIa alone. She turned around and went to the bathroom to get alcohol to wipe Chu Xia’s wound.

Liang Yi was just a freshman this year. Although he was only 19 years old, he was well-developed and tall. He punched Chu XIa hard just now. His lips were cut, and his cheeks were black and blue.

“Why did you let him beat you like that?” Liang Shiyun couldn’t help frowning as she wiped the wound.

“I deserve this,” Chu Xia said.

When he went to the wedding, he had already learned from Cheng Qiao how much hurt he had caused for Liang Shiyun when they broke up.

Back then, he had considered the consequences, and he expected Liang Shiyun to only be sad for a while. However, he didn’t expect it to have such a big impact

“Cheng Qiao said that you lost a lot of weight at that time.” He felt guilty and wanted to make up for it.

“It’s all in the past.” Liang Shiyun only stated it.

Chu Xia wanted to say something more, but Liang Shiyun pressed his hand. “Besides, you are not the only one who has seen other flowers in the world.”

The underlying meaning was that he didn’t have to care about Liang Yi’s words. Liang Shiyun was the same as Chu Xia, but she didn’t meet someone better than him.

Liang Shiyun’s words made Chu Xia feel a little stuck.

After breaking up and reuniting, it had been so many years. They had changed. He didn’t expect not to be as lovey-dovey and passionate as before

But Liang Shiyun’s attitude was the kind of attitude where even if she accepted him, she didn’t expect much from him and this relationship. It really made him feel like she had built an invisible wall between them.

How was he going to break this wall? Gao Yan’s answer to it was to hit it in one shot, and if that one shot failed, then two shots. However, it was useless for people like Chu Xia and Liang Shiyun who became friends with benefits after seeing each other for the first time after so many years.

“Then have you talked to her about what you’re thinking?” Gao Yan asked.

Chu Xia: “?”

“Tell her about what you experienced in the past few years, and why you came back,” Gao Yan clarified. “Women always love what they hear. If you really care about her, you have to tell her your truest thoughts.”

Perhaps we really should have an open and honest talk, Chu Xia thought. But before that, he faced a more difficult matter—meeting the parents.

This matter was brought up by Liang Shiyun.

“Are you free? My dad said that he wants to see you.” These were Liang Shiyun’s words.

Chu Xia was making coffee when he heard her say that. He shook and almost burned his hands.

“See me?” Chu Xia put down his coffee and turned his head extremely stiffly,

Liang Shiyun was confused by his reaction. She coughed and said, “I know it’s a bit fast… Well, you don’t have to think it’s complicated, it’s just having a meal together. When Liang Yi came over, he didn’t control himself when he went back  and accidentally told my dad about us. My dad is insisting on seeing you, so I really can’t tell him no—”

She was a little uncomfortable when she said this, and frowned for asking him to do something for her.

“Okay.” Chu Xia said quickly. “I happen to want to visit my uncle too.”

After a while, his brows furrowed too. “However, you have to give me time to prepare a little bit.”
